Muhyiddin: Suara Janggal 1Malaysia

Dalam masa tak sampai 1 minggu Muhyiddin Yassin membuat 4 pernyataan yang masing-masing sangat ketara kejanggalannya.

Kejanggalan#1  DPM: PERC report on Malaysia is ‘nonsensical’

Kuala Lumpur 11 February.  Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has slammed a report by a Hong Kong-based consultancy that Malaysia was veering towards instability as “nonsensical.”
He said the report by the Political and Economic Risk Consultancy (PERC) appeared to be part of a “hidden agenda to destabilise the country.”

“It has obvious ulterior motives and we don’t need comments from those who know nothing about the country. They must be talking through their nose.

“The fact is that Malaysians are happy and are not facing any major disaster and there is no racial trouble in the country or war among us,” he said.

Kejanggalan#2a  Muhyiddin wants Pakatan to drop conditions ...

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 11 — Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said Pakatan Rakyat (PR) must drop any condition for co-operation with the Barisan Nasional (BN) government in Perak.
He said PR must show its sincerity by fully supporting the state government.
“There is no need to place any conditions. I don’t think there should be any conditions because it will complicate administration of the state.
“We must co-operate to show our sincerity in helping the people,” he told reporters at Felda headquarters here.
Ousted Perak PR Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin had announced that PR had finally agreed to give up its fight to remove BN Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Zambry Abdul Kadir or call for snap polls after the Federal Court ruling showed the futility of its struggle.
Nizar said PR would only give its full co-operation if the BN government agreed to four conditions — to allow PR parties to use public premises for the purpose of hosting functions, give memberships to PR assemblymen in special committees, provide all PR assemblymen with allocations to the tune of RM150,000 or RM200,000 and for the BN government to base its administration on the principles of honesty, integrity, transparency, justice and welfare.
Muhyiddin stressed today that Zambry had promised to work with the opposition in the state.
“He (Zambry) has also said that he was committed to co-operate with all parties. The role of representatives from both opposition and government is important.
“Perak may be successful with the involvement of only one side but they must work together ensure development in the state because Datuk Zambry’s policies are beneficial to the people.
“We must stop politicking and strive for the people of Perak,” said Muhyiddin.

Probe reports against Kit Siang, Nizar, Muhyiddin told police

SERI KEMBANGAN 12 Feb: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin called on the police today to investigate reports lodged against Opposition leaders DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and former Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin for criticising the Federal Court's decision on the legitimacy of the dismissal of the Pakatan Rakyat Perak State government made in February last year and the installation of a BN-led government.

Muhyiddin said the court's decision is final and the Perak menteri besar debacle should be put to a close once and for all.

"We want everybody to respect the court's decision. Of course, many people are unhappy about it but they have to accept it. Just because they are the 'opposition' doesn't mean they have to 'oppose' everything.
"Therefore, I hope the police will investigate the report. The representatives of the State of Perak should concentrate on moving the State forward," Muhyiddin said after launching the Ar-Rahnu branch at Cheras Maju Business Centre in Balakong.
Yesterday, a retired Royal Malay Regiment officer in Kedah lodged a police report in Kuala Muda against Lim and Nizar on the Perak government issue.
A blog posting at bigdogdotcom.wordpress.com said the statements by Lim and Nizar on Tuesday's Federal Court decision on the legitimacy of the dismissal of Pakatan Rakyat Perak State government in February last year and the installation of a BN-led government were published in a Malay daily and an online portal.
The 58-year-old complainant deemed the comments to be seditious. The blogger also said that more police reports are expected to be lodged against Lim and Nizar.

Kejanggalan#4 Correct phonics to be part of new English curriculum
JERTIH: Language arts and use of correct phonics will be the core of a new curriculum for English language to be implemented next year, said Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

Muhyiddin, who is also Deputy Prime Minister, said the move to introduce the curriculum was to assist students master the language.

A new approach would be incorporated in the teaching of English language, he said, adding he had taken a look at the curriculum.

“I have looked at it. It is a huge change from the current curriculum and I believe it will help our children master the English language ,” Muhyiddin said when speaking at the Besut district Ujian Pencapaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) and Penilaian Menengah Rendah (PMR) excellence awards ceremony at the Besut municipal council hall in Gong Kemuntong here yesterday.

"What is important is standard and the new curriculum will teach students according to the standard British English language phonics so that our students will know how to pronounce English words as spoken by native speakers.”

Muhyiddin said 365 master teachers will be brought in from overseas, starting June, to help train the local teachers.
“These foreign teachers will be sent to schools all over the country according to zones. Apart from training to make them an expert, the ministry will also rope in retired teachers who have the expertise to teach English,” he said.

Muhyiddin said the move could ensure better command of English among students although the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English had been discontinued.
